Kleeb Statement on Consumer First Energy Act

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 10, 2008

U.S. Senate candidate Scott Kleeb released the following statement after Washington politicians filibustered the Consumer-First Energy Act today:

"For the second time in two weeks Washington had the opportunity to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil. And for the second week in a row, the status quo said “no” to change. The Consumer - First Energy Act would use oil companies' record profits to invest in alternative energy research. It also stops oil speculation on Wall Street that has inflated gas prices, making it harder for Nebraskans to make ends meet. This is common sense legislation that is good for our families and good for our future.”
