Omaha, NE - Scott Kleeb, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate today announced a new wave of support from Democrats serving in the Nebraska State Legislature. Half of the Democratic Caucus endorsed Mr. Kleeb ahead of Tuesday's primary and will integrate their local grassroots networks into Kleeb's statewide field operation.
"I am honored to earn the support of so many distinguished leaders," Kleeb said. "We will work together, with Nebraskas across the State, to bring change to Washington. We share a commitment to improving our schools, making health care more affordable, and investing in homegrown alternative energy to strengthen Nebraska's economy."
Kleeb has also been endorsed by the hard working families of the Nebraska AFL-CIO and the Lincoln Journal Star, citing his "appealing blend of intelligence, drive to get things done, and thoughtfulness on the issues." (Lincoln Journal Star, 5/8/08)
