HASTINGS, NE - US Senate candidate Scott Kleeb earned the endorsement of “Lincoln for Obama" today. The powerful grassroots group will offer its full support to the Kleeb campaign during the critical run up to the May 13th Democratic primary.

"America desperately needs a change of direction," said Lisa Olivares, the group's Chairwoman. "A diverse group of Nebraskans formed Lincoln for Obama to promote the new brand of leadership that we need. Scott Kleeb has a unique ability to bring people together and change the way Washington works. Our decision to support him was an easy one.”

Lincoln for Obama members knocked on thousands of doors and made thousands of telephone calls in advance of the recent Nebraska caucuses. Senator Obama won more than 67% of the statewide vote.

“I am inspired by the thousands of Nebraskans who are helping to shape the future of our country,” said Kleeb. “With the support of Lincoln for Obama and all Nebraskans who want change, we can elect a new of brand of leadership -- one that unites Democrats and Republicans to get results.”

Lincoln for Obama joins the Kleeb campaign's growing roster of supporters, which recently expanded to include the Nebraska AFL-CIO.
