Labor unions and labor organizations, from the AFL-CIO to Change to Win, have moved to Scott Kleeb in recent weeks. As Ken Mass President of the Omaha AFL-CIO said as he endorsed Scott:
"Washington special interests already have their candidate," AFL-CIO President Ken Mass of Omaha said. "Now Nebraska's working families have theirs," Mass said.
Jim Sheard of Nebraska's Change to Win echoed that sentiment:
"Scott is an independent leader who puts Nebraska's interests ahead of party politics. He's not afraid of putting in a hard day's work and he'll never quit before we get the changes we deserve," Jim Sheard said.
Change to Win is an affiliation of unions that promote values important to working families including affordable, quality health care, secure retirement and fair wages. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, a Change to Win union, endorsed Kleeb's opponent, Mike Johanns in 2002.
